Hockey equipment

Hey guys, I am planning to start playing hockey but I am looking for a few things. Size 9 skates if anyone has any that they don’t use any more as well as some practice jerseys or hockey socks. I think I am pretty much good with the rest.

I have a pair of Bauer Vapor XXV skates, great shape they’re about 6 years old but I didn’t really use them much. They’re size 9D.

If you want to get serious about it, Bob Janosz (goalie coach for Rochester Americans asst for the Sabres) does an adult camp in the summer, and has many sessions available throughout the year, bobjanosz.com.

I’ve been coaching for him for 7 or so years, it’s a great group

Did you coach this past summer? I just started playing net again after a long break and went to this camp this summer. Had a great time and plan on going back again next year.

Figured I would piggyback on this since there’s people subbed already. Looking for used goalie equipment- larger sizes. I used to have gear but lent it to a friend to try goal for a summer league. We had a fight and then he died in a motorcycle wreck-- im too big of a pussy to go asking his mother for the equipment back. Time to start from scratch.

I have a chest protector that I just replaced. It’s a Heaton AB2090, senior size medium. Also have a Pro-Masque, the one with the inflatable airbag. White with a black cage.

@evilsrt no this is the first summer I haven’t in a long time. Did you do the adult camp or a different one?

I did a clinic last Wednesday, doing more Monday and Tuesday. Out drinking beers right now, Sal’s here if you remember the other crotchety old man with a beard. Also you may have seen Mike “yellow gloves” Mistretta, aka @livin4hockey

Yeah, havent pulled the trigger on anything yet. Top contender is a set of rbk premier 2 pros

@Coldaccord Thanks for the tip. I ended up pulling the trigger on the pads from kings brother. Rbk p2 pro’s in excellent condition with matching glove and blocker. Left there and picked up a brand new vaughn 7700 mask, a pair of used graf g50 skates and 2 used sticks for $200. Biggest thing I need now is a pair of pants and a C/A. Appreciate the help everyone!

Wow, Cuviello… he used to be my goalie back in the day. Haven’t heard his name in years.

He still plays. Hes in bright yellow kohos now.

I completed my setup so I should be good for equipment. Thanks for the help. I plan to frequent the 30+ skate at northtown so say hi if you see me there.
