Looking for something cheap 200-300 at most. HDMI switching is a must. Anyone have anything that recommend? Just looking to consolidate speaker sources and hook up a cheap surround sound unit.

Craigslist is your best bet. Pick up some audio nerds barely used receiver that he just had to get rid of because the new model is .1% better.
There is some site I forgot where people sell just used audio stuff but it’s more for high end stuff.

Probably excessive for your needs but Onkyo is great quality and that is worth a lot more. This receiver is a brick shithouse.
well, I am gonna ask my folks to get me one for x-mas, so no craigslist on this one
also not sure that my parents can figure out the whole BCB thing
tigerdirect is a good call though. I am gonna see if there is anything there.
I like Onkyo…I bought a refurbished Onkyo Home Theater system though. HT-S7100. My receiver does not auto switch the sources. Kind of a PITA. To remedy this i bought one of these:

And an FYI…Bill Me Later (paypal) is running a deal, up to $100 off your statment when paying with paypal , subject to approval.
Onkyo is fine for those who want quality but dont have audiophile ears.
