Anyone know if HD will do price matching to their website?

There’s a Makita Combo kit that lists for $199 on their website, but it was $249 this weekend at the store. I would have asked, but I just saw it was listed $50 cheaper on their website this morning.

They will not price match if the item is for Internet sales only…

Doesnt say it’s for internet sales only; at least not that I can find.

In the HD by the Galleria it’s listed for $249. I have a $50 off coupon, and if I can get it for $199 b4 the coupon then I’d jump on it tonight.

Uhh try calling? Say that you are looking for the Makita Combo kit that is listed on their website for $199, and would like to know if they have it in stock. If they do, see if they can put it on hold, and bring in a print out of the item from the HD website.

Be sure to check your coupon, also. A lot of times during the holidays stores will put out coupons, but they will have the “Markdowns taken from regular price” stipulation.

I tried calling… I hung up after 30 minutes of being on hold.

Was hoping someone either worked there or had done something like this before.

Or you can just return the one you have and buy on the web…

Any store that has a return policy will price match their own prices for the length of the return policy… they will USUALLY match somebody elses price for the same reason

Because there is nothing stopping you from returning your purchase and re buying at the lower price…

Nope, it’s not; plus I dont know if I can use the coupon I have online; I couldn’t find a spot for it. Shipping is $10.xx.

I finally got a hold of someone and the girl said they didnt; cuz shipping would make up the price difference; she didn’t know what to say when I said that shipping would cost $50 for a drill!?!?!?!?

I’m just going to go into the store and talk with the guys in the Tool department and see what I can work with them.

I tried to get HD to price match from Lowe’s and they wouldn’t. It seems like HD has become impossible to price match on.

I tried to have HD match their own prices online for a washer/drier and they said no even though it was free shipping.

Lowe’s will price and coupon match, so try there if they have the same product. Plus Lowe’s will give you an additional 10%.

I’d rather get it from Lowes; but they don’t carry Makita.
