ok so im most likly going to make my own catback exhaust for my new car.
i was thinking 3" stainless steel piping from the downpipe to the very end no resonator and a 3" highflow cat at the end to go where a muffler would go.
i know its loud and i do not care haha…
do you guys think the cat will heat up enough to pass e-test?

Mounting the cat closer to the engine will make sure it gets hot quick and stays hot.

with the piping being 3" and at the very back, I don’t think it will pass, it won’t get hot enough. High flow cats don’t resrict too much flow.
This for Turbo or N/A?

It would be for a turbo setup.
It will heat up defenatly…
I say do it dude… Karl Runs it on the street and has never been hassled.
They put a heat gun to it and the precentage difference met the standard.
