moonshine wasn’t the problem, it was the lead in the moonshine from the still tanks. Lead was used as a solder back in the old days.

I’m pretty sure you can’t distill liquor legally. Just beer and wine can be home made.

We did it last year similar to the method posted above. But we were making it for skittles vodka. It was cheaper than buying the amount we would have needed for the party.
Buddy I play lax with makes Shine every year. Lot’s of it. It is some potent stuff. He makes alot of jello shots with it for parties…those things are addicting and they creep up on ya like mad.
Any person having possession, custody, or control of any still or distilling apparatus set up who fails to register the still or distilling apparatus is subject to a fine of not more than $10,000 or imprisonment of not more than 5 years, or both, and the still or distilling apparatus is forfeitable to the Government.

Might want to do some reading. Unlike wine and beer, currently it is illegal to have an un-registered still, even for personal use. There was an attempt in 2001 to allow for the home making of liquors, but it wasn’t passed.
While:
(a) Any adult may produce beer, without payment of tax, for personal or family use and not for sale. An adult is any individual who is 18 years of age or older. If the locality in which the household is located requires a greater minimum age for the sale of beer to individuals, the adult shall be that age before commencing the production of beer. This exemption does not authorize the production of beer for use contrary to State or local law.
I think it has something to do with not properly separating fusil oil. Drinking Methanol (wood alcohol) can also cause this but I don’t know how/why anyone would?
Vodka sucks…Well it sucks in anything but vodka and redbull.
Its the ONLY drink that gives me hangovers and tastes like a sharpie marker.
