honda guys enter: Civic Transmission

thanks for the heads up. I have been looking at a few places online with no luck.

check the transmission oil, if its low, fix the leaking seal(s). If everything else looks good, drain and refill with either Honda MTF or GM Syncromesh Friction Modified fluid. The GM syncromesh will make the trans feel like butter when shifting, but it also costs $12-$14 a quart, Honda MTF works very good also, but regular 10w30 motor oil makes honda trannys feel notchy after a while

Don’t ignore it. I learned the hard way a few years ago on my old Civic. The slave cylinder was leaking brake fluid underneath the carpeting and I did not even notice. I went up to the clubs in Canada and noticed that the stick was getting harder to put into gear. Luckily it didn’t get back until I was back home. I ended up having to replace the tranny, slave cylinder, and all that. Just make sure it’s not that cuz it sucks big time.

i think its fixed by now
