for the past couple of weeks I’ve been drawing some ideas together and have been developing a website thats IMO pretty fucked up…
No pornography would be displayed, just opinions, articles and topics other sites just would prefer to not tackle.
Unfortunately through some sites I feel as if they would take the site down IE GoDaddy, other private hosting companies.
Anyone have any incite on where I could get hosting and not worrying about the host actually giving a shit about the content?
If it’s fucked up in your opinion, then I don’t think I want to know about this at all.

If you are associated with it and you live in the US and break a US law, you can be arrested on just having the content on the server + server in your name and then they can go after the server by working with the country. We used to code some torrent software and some questionable websites and ran into this issue. To actually benefit from a server in another country, you need to live there and have no association with the server. That way the only governing government does not care if its on there.
Another example was some of the gambling websites when the laws first came out. They were fine out of the country but even tho the websites were hosted in other countries, they came back to the states and they were arrested.
Must be some heavy stuff brah. What are doing? Developing an online campaign to lower the statutory rape law to 10 or something? I can’t imagine anyone really caring what you are hosting as long as it isn’t kiddy porn or pirated software/movies/mp3s …
Lots of hosts don’t like anything that makes them look bad ie racial, hate, or questionable content even tho it may be legal. You can query a IP of a website and see all the other sites on that server and some people look into this before selecting a host.
I know, I have some web development and design under my belt. Quit trying to flex your nerd muscles. And btw, this website idea sounds stupid and would attract the wrong crowd. There are already too many assholes with blogs now-a-days.

Its not nerd muscles. Its why the original poster is concerned that a host will pull the site down becuase it does happen and lots of hosts do if it damages their image as a respectable host even if its 100% legal.
Get your facts straight and read the TOS of most hosts. The Planet is a big one in the US (I assume you have heard about them) and say that they can cancel any site that subjects The Planet a damaged image by hosting content.

haha i just don’t like people who talk out their ass. look at the tos that they clicked through when they signed up for their host. any legit host has the clause that they can cancel the account without warning if it damages their image.
Thats where the problem lies… one of the sections is Racist Comments and the Token Black Man’s response to it.
