i know most of you really dont care…but i was reading my magazine and saw a write up on page 83 for a honda 1.8…well i have no problem with the car and what not…
but i subscribed to hot rod magazine to see hot rod and stuff not a honda write up…it was cool for the sti and all i like most all i cars…
i just dont want hot rod magazine to turn into a APC catalog or tuner magazine

the Honda Civic is the Chevy Vega of our generation…
swapping a bigger engine into a Civic is still “Hot Rod”
i read an article in some mustang magazine where they compared the STI against the 03 Cobra. They had some suprisingly nice things to say about the STI.
Supercharged V8 > turbo’d 4 cyclinder
or how about john shepards feature in hot rod,u know,the awd dsm that runs 8’s in street trim,yea u know,that one…
same issue as the sti.

hotrod never pissed anyone off they’ve always been about what’s fast and makes power…you’re thinking of car craft that picks on anything other than a v-8 on a monthly basis. i for one like unbiased opinions especially when i’m reading about someones 157hp 3xx ci v-8 grocery getter and then talking smack on people who have 1k hp 4cyl…
i for one don’t care what you have who made it or how long you’ve had it as long as:
besides editors of hotrod > all sport compact/import/fhag editors.

Nothing wrong with car craft picking on imports, they are entitled to their view. They never say that imports can’t be and aren’t fast. Look, i respect speed, imports just aren’t my style and i like buying a mag that is about that. Actually i’m actaully sick of car craft too because i’m sick of mustang and chevy nova build ups. I’m a B.O.P. / mopar fan, they aren’t your run of the mill mustang with flowmasters and not everything has to have an SBC.
well my point was that hot rod was never a die hard domestic magazine they’ve always showcased brittish roadsters and the like…car craft was always the one who pissed on anything without a v8
