Im planning a vacation to Cancun and was looking at hotels…Does anyone have any good suggestions on hotels in Cancun…?
I assume you want to go all-inclusive? I’ve always had good luck with the Palace Resorts and RIU properties, but some of them are still closed from the hurricane, cancun got pretty effed up. I stayed at Oasis for spring break this year and it’s strictly for college kids. Not really any amenities except for partying
Gran Caribe Real i think is the name, it’s like on the main bar strip, about a mile away from the main mall in the city/town…right across the street from a bar called Carlos and Charlies, across from and down a bit from Senior Frogs…
Fucking awesome place, pool with swim up bar, main lobby bar, rec room with open help yourself bar, and the package we got was all inclusive, came to about $950 a person, included 6 or 7 nights, flights to and from, and as already mentioned, the all inclusive hotel, free food, free drinks, everywhere…was insane, pregaming for free > *
and if you’ve never been there, dont just go to all the bars, find out the pricing at certain ones…for example, i know there’s a place called Daddy-O’s or something like that, nicer place, no sandals allowed, no hats, etc…$25 cover all you can drink, get there early, find a bar tender, slip him $30, and get VIP treatment from that bartender all night, first name basis, immediate service, etc…good times
Gran Caribe Real is RIU caribe now, they bought another hotel and named it gran caribe real, FYI, it is a good place though
i stayed at the costa real, not a bad place at all. 3 bars, 2 restaurants, lots of included activities (kyaking, snorkeling, etc)
i don’t remember where i stayed…but all inclusive is the way to go. Plus, if you’re going there to party, it doesn’t matter how many stars your hotel has…you won’t be sleeping there much.
