Bottom line, there’s a dude I work with who claims he graduated from UB. I firmly believe he hasn’t. How can I check this? UB says they need a SSI
Find someone in that graduating year and have them look at their commencement stuff?

There has to be an actual way to verify someone attended/graduated from a College if they claim it on a resume.
You are supposed to ask the applicant for a transript. Official transcripts usually have one of those official stamps on it. The person can also ask the school to send it directly to a specific person/place. That way you know it’s legit when you get it directly.
Makes me wonder how many people fake degree’s on their resume though.

I wasnt ready for college when i graduated High School, so i went out and got a job. This made me a loser in my mothers eyes (dont ask, my mother is fucked in the head). Too date, my brother (who is the never do wrong golden child) has snowed my mother for eight years with “im going too college”. Hes apparently already graduated from ECC with an AS in engineering, and claims he is going too UB for engineering science, taking ALL of his courses part time and online.
Ive never seen his diploma
hes never brought books home
he never gets mail from school
he never fills out fafsa or paperwork for TAP/PEL.
And yet for over eight years, my mother has totally believed he is going too school. I have unsuccessfully tried, for those eight years, to find definitive proof that he is not going too UB like ive been saying, and that he is in fact, a loser.

Ive since pursued a path in the engineering program at GCC and based on the amount of homework im doing,mail im getting and shit in general i have too deal with for school, my brothers getting nervous. Very nervous.
I work in bizzaroworld, I think in the real world, the vast majority of private firms follow up on these things…
