Im looking to find the original blue prints and maybe some old photos of my home when it was built in the 30’s. I cant seem to find anything online. Is there a place someone on here knows of, does the library carry that stuff? Any info would be good.
There have been many times I wished the customer had original blueprints. It’s very, very rare people care enough about their blueprints to ask the builder for a copy, let alone manage not to lose it. I got the original set with my new home but they were more of a guideline and conversation piece than something you could rely upon. I don’t even know what building departments do with all the sets they require you to provide when proposing / building a project. If you find out some miracle source for this stuff, please let me know. Good luck.
i wouldn’t get my hopes up…at that time they probably didn’t keep much in the way of records and i would doubt they would have survived to today.
With technology nowadays make your own blueprint! lol
You dont want blue prints unless you are making fun pictures for your wall…you want “as builts” if you are trying to figure out where things actually are.
