Well, on this years Regatta, we managed to whack a hole in Old Reliable. It’s a 15’ Coleman canoe. The hole is about 3/4"x3" centered right on the very keel of the boat. It’s a good thing we had the free Regatta beer mugs to bail out with. I’m looking for ideas on how to fix this in some way that will last more than 10 minutes.
Here’s a few random pics from this year’s Regatta just for the hell of it:
The last one is me looking at some random dude that passed out in our campsite.
Passed out or bludgeon with a hammer?
fiberglass the hole? carbon fiber the hole?

I’d go to a boat store and see what kind of patch kit you can find.
wait… so they DO play Stump in NY???
awesome.
And Fiberglass. Go.
what kinda canoe is it? fiberglass, aluminum?
The canoe is the same thing as the orange one the three girls are in with the PA registration on it in the first pic. It’s kind of a plastic material. I’m worried about 'glass being too rigid, therefore brittle considering how much the bottom of the boat bends when it gets scraped over rocks.
There has to be a fiberglass or fiberglass like material which will work fine. Maybe research different types of resins?
