Also, sounds like you have too many things running at once. Use the task manager to see how many memory intensive programs are running and how much available memory there is at a given time.

You’re not trying to shove that 3 GB/s through a PCI connection.Raptors are ATA150 which converts to 150mb/s and thats only a little bit faster than IDE.Still not a very effective upgrade though,i will agree on that.

you need 184-pin ddr sdram. your motherboard only supports up to 1 gig. so i would go with two 512mb sticks

main goal is to stop the PC from running real slow after its been on a for a few hours. I am happy with its performance and Plan to buy a new pc next year. Just need this one til then. if I can spend say 5-60 or so on RAM and it fixes the freezing problem that I am having then I am all for it.
