yeah pretty much…i was trying to make it seem like i actually acomplish something at work, which i dont (unless u count sitting on your ass reading books, surfing the net and eating all while getting paid for it). im sure UPS has a ‘technical’ name for my job, but i dunno what it is

Part of my job is traveling all over the world training people on how to use/service our machines. Most of the time I basically do all things technical at my company, from design work to service to working with and sourcing parts from outside vendors such as Mr Schmauss above. Michael you build us some flawless aluminum cylinders that we get through Hughes Hi-Tech. I’m sorry to hear that you lost your biggest customer to China (and I apoligize for my somewhat less than thought out comments in your thread, now that I re-read them) but your business with us will continue to grow. That cylinder alone will be finding its way into more applications here, plus your rapid response to custom requests has me interested in what else we can source from you. But we can talk about that in another thread if need be, back on topic…

Hedge funds are pools of money that many individuals pay into. the fund is managed by investment specialists who invest the money in various and diverse way to earn as high of a return as possible. They charge commisions and management fees. these are typically much more risky that say mutual funds or GIC’s obviously but can yield pretty significant returns… sometimes staggering…
one of my closest friends lives in colorado trading on hedge accounts over the FOREX… he can earn 16% on an entire fund in a single month…if you have the right system you basically cant lose. currency values for the most part are relative in that when one goes down another one is usually going up. if you know how the US dollar reacts to shifts in the Euro you can make money off of it every time.
DoD wipe would make you useless

Our clients bring us a piece of land and what their intentions for it are (subdivision, commercial complex, office building, etc.) and we design all aspects of the property from grading, sanitary/stormwater systems, getting all the required permits and waivers, attending all the township meetings, taking care of everything up until construction is completed.
I’m not sure what i could offer to the nyspeed community :shrug:
