how much do u think a 95 e36 m3 is worth

Found one with 120K miles… :meh: But the body is perfect, all body lines look true, no sanding marks in the paint or any sign of an accident or dings. Leather is not that bad, I have seen newer vehichles with worse leather than this one. I love my DSM and will still be keeping it, but I want to buy a car that I have never owned before. I know some e30 M3’s go for 10K in good shape, and 98 - 99 e36’s with under 100K go for 17-20K on ebay all day long. Anyone have any opinions? or anything to watch out for. Also it is at a dealer not a private owner, which is kinda sketchy I guess.

roffle

not too bad until you do a 5-2 shift and blow up the motor

I wouldn’t touch a car like that with 120k miles, but I’m a bit more pragmatic than some on this site.

Generally 95’s fetch between $11-14k depending on condition. With those miles, the shape you described, I would say around $11.5k. The 95 is a nice year because you have OBD1. Not as much torque as the 3.2L, but more mod friendly. I wouldn’t be worried about mileage as long as you have good records on what’s been replaced. Water pump and radiator are common failures, though not very expensive to replace.

I was turned on by the last year of OBD1 for sure, I will look into h20 pump, and the radiator failures as described. My budget is limited to about 15K if I keep my accord I feel, that will leave me with a couple grand aside for last semesters tuition plus some money incase anything happens with the DSM.

It is either this m3 or a 2000 328i, it doesnt have the sport seats, or xexons, but seats are power and heated, and has the indash cd player over the cassette. Do not know what to do. Probably just stick with the 328 as it is newer, less miles, etc.

Well it really depends on what you are looking for then, if you are looking for more of a track car with great handling and better power go with the m3, if you are going for ride comfort go with the 328…imo the m3 is a wonderful choice for a alll around good car except long road trip, then the seats feel like cardboard and you ass falls asleep. As for price i believe skunkape payed 17k for a low mileage one (60k)

yeah…17K plus rebuild

yeah. I did just go there.

Newer than a 95 though right?

ok…i’m finally here…

ok first of all…i payed $15,500 for mine with only 56K on the motor. The original one i bought was $16,700 with 70K on it. IMO an ///M with a bit of high miles isn’t too bad because the motor can still be in great shape…but with 120K on it…i woudn;t bother. Keep looking…don’t jump on the first decent deal you find. It took me MONTHS to find one. If you have any question feel free to PM me"SkunkApe"

and all you 5-2 asses can bite my balls:2fingers: yes i made an expensive mistake…because i was still not used to the gearbox and the shifter…very diff than the mustang…but in the end…it’s well worth it

someone has sand in his vagina tonight… my bad on the price…ass

ps merry xmas

LOL…sorry macoooooon…i was j/p

just make sure when looking for an M…i can’t stress enough to take your time…you will thank yourself later

It is a 95

aaron don’t worry i still love you

95 is the best year of the e36’s…

Simply because of OBD1?

Are any years specifically bad? I was even contimplating a 97 or 98 4 door if I could save some money, but they seem to be the exact price as the coupes.

no years are specifically bad. 95 was the only year for OBD1 in the US. if you are looking for performace stick with the M3, a 328 will disapoint you (comparitavly). i’ll write more when im not drunk from christmas eve fun.

also make sure when you are downshifting… i can’t stress enough to take your time…you will thank yourself later

^^^ aren’t you supposed be doing 16 year olds right now?? :stuck_out_tongue:

no that was before and after mikes party tonight.

and

doing 16 year olds > blowing motors.

:stuck_out_tongue:

omg, who am i kidding? i cant wait to make sweet sweet love to you.

but in all honesty.

LISTEN TO SKUNK. HE KNOWS HIS M’S. WAIT IT OUT. PLUS. THE MORE TIME YOU WAIT IT OUT, THE BETTER THE WEATHER WILL BE AND YOU CAN DRIVE IT FASTER. AND IN THE MEANWHILE YOU CAN SAVE UP MORE MONEY.

eh, a stock 95 m3 U.S. version is only a couple tenths faster than my 97 328is. However i do wish my car was obd0. I wouldnt be hesitant to purchase a bmw with over 100,000miles. Most bmw owners tend to be very muticulous(spell?) with there cars. As long as its been maintained you will be fine.
