How much do you guys think this car is worth?

I’m seriously considering buying this car…just trying to get some feedback on what it’s worth.

any help appreciated. Anything to look for? Any of you guys know this car? Tracked with this car?

thanks!!!

depends what they want for it…

I would personally start from scratch… that way i know what`s gone into it and i can say … i did that.

but, it looks like a fast 240. for sure.

Yeah I know him and I can vouch for his car. Awesome person. He takes really good care of it, clean installs, great parts, awesome shape blacktop. I was looking into it before, he’s asking $12 000 ish right?

He’s a mechanic so I’m sure he knows what he’s doing. The shop is really nice too.

I’m pretty sure he has a Front Mount IC instead of the sidemount now. And he’s selling the rims. His name is eggman on this forum.

I just went to go check out the car. It looks to be in decent shape!

Still looks to be a Sidemount IC.

I’m seriously considering it, but I’m also thinking that I may want to find my own chassis and build it from scratch. It has some taste mods done to it, I’m just trying to gauge what the car is worth…

Anyone else have an opinion???

I like it  Atleast the performance side of it. The wing looks very unsightly, but is probably functional. Not sure if I share the appreciation for the lame initial D reference in naming his shop, but oh well, that’s none of my business. Car seems good, if the price is right, go for it.

dont go from scratch…

if this car has a solid frame and body then that saves you $3500 right there…

the engine is another $4000 or so if it is a nicely instlled black top

it also saves you time effort and risk if it is solid.

iono about $12000, he should have a bit more done to it for that money, but i would say $8500 - $10,000 is not unreasonable

after looking at it again…

take off the graphics wing and rims.

put decent front lip on it, wingless, better rims, and an FMIC and you have a sharp sharp car there…

if you could get it for $9000 u should be good.

u’d have a tough time redoing it for that and you would save a lot of time.

I agree, I would say between $8,000 and $9,000.

The body seems to be solid. crawled under as best as I could with a flashlight, didn’t see much corrosion on there. Looks to be a decent buy. I know the car has been tracked before…I would have to test drive it before anything else.

I swore I’d never buy another 240 again… Oh well, what can you do? lol…

Thanks for all the comments guys. Oh, wing is the first thing that has to go… I love the front marker lights. Two thumbs up.

Get it on a lift before you buy it.

the dude is eggman on this board i think…/

I know where this place is, the car is pretty nice

saw it 2 times parked at their garage along w/ AE86 Chassis,

I remember seeing a small problem w/ body, but I dun remmeber,

just check it out

if you are looking for it and you’ve seen the map on the website, it’s behind a building that’s facing sheppard,

IT IS ADVERTISED FOR $13000. PERSONALY I WOULD BUY THE WHITE 98 WITH ADVAN WHEELS,APEXI COILOVERS AND EXHAUST THAT HE IS SELLING FOR THE SAME PRICE FOR THE SAME PRICE.

This is the 98 he is selling for the same price as the 91.

With Tein HR’s, Apexi N1, Blacktop SR, ACT clutch & lightened flywheel etc, I would say $10,000 ish is definitely a fair asking price IMHO.

But whatever happens, LISTEN TO SPD-DMN!! Get that thing on a friggin’ lift first!

Wow… I’m with canadiandrifter240sx on this one! 13K for that 98 is a sweet deal. The rims are brutally ugly, but they’re brand name so you can sell them if you feel the same way as me. And 13K is a good price even for a bone stock 98 240SX.

It will need a new rad on it. Trust me the Ka rad wont hold to well on an SR.
Id still go for the 98 . Buy it drive and save some money and put an SR in that .
Good luck

I wouldn’t exactly call Advan SA3As “brutally ugly.” Those rims actually look really good if you see them. (not in a pic.)

I’ll have to take your word for it, cause that pic does them no justice whatsoever
That car looks sick otherwise, I absolutely love it in white. I realize the exterior is pretty much stock, but all that means is that Nissan did a good job to begin with

I think that his are 16s too so they won’t really fill in the wheel gap too much.
