So a bit over 4 grand in mods (only $150 of which is for looks, the rest is all perf.) on a 19k car for a Grand Total of around $23,000. Is it worth it??? HELL YES. My car is a jack of all trades for me. Great daily driver, good looks, gotta love the T-tops, gets the girls’ attention, but most importantly it performs great in all respects… it outhandles most cars on the road.
Of course I bought the car about 4 and a half years ago. If I were to go looking to spend $23k right now I could probably get a highly modded SS or something (though 99% of them are modded for dragging only, not handling like mine). Still, it’s hard to think of a car that does everything I ask it… and does it well, for $23k.
It’s also worth noting that by shopping the classifieds and GPs I’ve easily saved thousands on my mods. My front shocks alone go for like $350 each and I got that whole setup for $1k w/ the coilovers, STB, sway bars etc.
