How much would your car cost NOW?

I found a website, that calculates inflation rates from whichever year you pick, til today.

So for example, I’ll use my car:

In 1988, it MSRP’ed for $22,000.

Using this Calculator it will tell you the inflation rate to use.

Mine is 74.95%
P.S.- I had to go January 1988 to January 2007, it didn’t like using any other month for some reason.

Now, using this Calculator, punch in the MSRP, and rate you got from the above calculator, and it will give you your result.

My car would MSRP for $38,489.00 in todays time, if it were new.

I thought this tool was pretty cool.

My car stickered at 49,035.00

Rate of 86.xx%

91,631.70 today, that’s almost GT3 MSRP oddly enough.

The inflation rate on woodys z is 50.38%

MSRP was around 42k I think so the price today would be

$63,159.60

my car would have only gained 387 dollars :X

A shadow ES was around the 11-13k mark.

Today around. $20429.123

Which isn’t all that bad considering what it came with, I’m rather surprised.

How do I find it? I have an 84 trans am and MSN and Edmunds dont go back far enough.

Google.com

MSRP: Cousin
Inflation: Jerry Springer
Now: Your sister and a mullet.

Honestly though I figured it wouldn’t be that hard to find, yet I’ve had no luck finding it for either the Camaro for Firebird in or near that year.

$10,689 base on the V8 trans am.

MSRP is 34,699

after inflation 38,654.69

The TGP was $28,346 new in 1989
Today would be $46,819.09

The S4 was $40,468 new in 2001
Today it would be $46,781.01

The Camaro was $11,485 (V6 Auto) new in 1988
Today it would be $20,093.01 (V6 Auto)

1984 Trans Am New = $10,689
x 98.64% Today = $21,232.63

Is the second calculator really necessary? Are people that stupid?

My Saab was 32k before taxes in 1997, so it would be 41k today.

no they are not that stupid, its laziness.

my focus was a special edition and i still have the original sticker from the previous owner at $22k…

today it would have cost $25,432.00

boy am i glad i got it with 31k miles for $8500 lol

The S4 was about 46,000 new back in 1994. With an inflation rate of about 35%, it would cost $63,000 today.

Lotus would be about $115,000. MR2, about $38000. Civic is about $14000. These are estimates, but I’d venture to guess they’re pretty accurate.

2004 the GTO was $33,190 today it would have been $36,276.67. im content with the fact that i bought it with ~15k on it for about half of the original price lol.

MY Accord would be about $22,700. What do the new ones go for, semi-loaded?

58k to 66120
