so SMOKE can possibly be due to heavy burnouts ?
i dought there was that much smoke…he came up to my car and said WOww…can u ever smell the rubber burning…bla bla bla ever had a ticket before(i lied said no…he cought me lying but w.e he still lowered the fine wrote me down as unnecessary noise…2pts. any tips on how to go about fighting this as they more than likley kno the fine was already lowered from wreckless driving. ive got a ex cop who may come to court and moms bf whos a cop goona try calling this cop and get him to not show up…but incase cop shows how should i argue this? im only 18 this is goona kick my a$$ when insurance finds out after ive already got a speeding ticket…doing 99 in a 70 got that lowered to 10 over…and i plead guilty for that…i shoulda never plead guilty.

Sorry man didnt mean to hijack ur thread…if u want mods to delete what was said by all means go ahead. But its good to leave it as other “Underground Drifters” will see what can happen in the case that u get cought drifting. All more i have to say…is if ur goona drift…make sure 110% no cops no other cars or pedestrians…very little possability of getting cought…but u still risk loosing it smashing a curb…curbs are brutal. Its best for the track.

yeah, guys, the whole point of this thread, is that, if its safe around you, nothing to hit, noone to injure, no problems to cause, and you know that you wont crash and know what you are doing, getting the back end lose a little is ok, never push over the edge on the streets, make sure theres noone around and watch out for soccer moms.
keep drifting, we shall train the police to accept the ‘occasional’ drifts lol when its safe, it aint fair, in japan they dont care, and once 3 fast 3 furious comes out all the ricers will kill all drifting

I do it alot, everyday prob a few times daily because im usualy bored when i drive alone… such as if were doing a left turn on an intersection and im behind someone and we get an advanced green i would drift behind him to his far side and either just slide right by him then slide to the left lane or while im still behind him i’ll cut to the left lane and go by…
just fun stuff like that…if u say thats dangerous then… its dangerous and you guys can do whatever you want but ive done small drifts with cops and and ive either been lucky or they do not care… what are they going to do, i can say my car slid and i regained control of it…
havent had an issue with a cop and ive done it at major intersections and even on streets trying to pass someone in the rain, just squeeze by lol…
DUDE dont drift with people around, Not only is it unsafe, it puts innocent people in danger and makes 240 guys look like a buncha honda drivers.
Anyways i do it when there is a time and a place, if no ones around and there are no people walking im sideways, in the rain atleast, I dont feel like having tires squeeling and smoke blowing atracting cops to an already bait car.
same here except with the miata.
to be honest i probably get sideways 3 - 5 times daily, its not always ‘major’ sideways but kicks out here and there hence i like to run bald/sh1t tires on the back
Usually once a day sometimes none, it all depends on traffic, location and mood. Mostly fish tails, sometimes a nice powerslide.
Oh yeah sliding in the rain sucks, I did a 180 on Isligton ave. I was going 401 west and exited Isligton north, I made the left turn and I threw the back out a little, when I corrected it I gave it a little too much power and the back spun the other way and spun me right around. There was no one around and I didn’t hit anything but now Im a little more carefull in the rain especially now that my back tires are almost slicks.

i have gotten booked in a private parking lot but never got charged. he let me off with a warning and said i could have gotten 6pts. a year later i got another warning but it was security (same lot). is it true they can just scare you or are they just being really nice. but i dont think the cop was nice cause he had to throw his lunch on the dashboard to catch up to me (friend saw this) lol
