Let’s just say the previous owner of my car used a generous amount of dynamat throughout my trunk. Those of you who have seen it can agree that the amount of sound deadening back there is crazy. This shit is heavy too. :Idiots
How do I remove it?
Heat?
Dry ice?
Thanks in advance :thumbup
maybe a heat gun and a scraper, good fucking luck.

Heat gun and plastic scraper. Use brake cleaner for the residue.
You can try other methods but you’ll come back to that one.
Embrace it:
dude you have way to much time/money to burn holy shit.
oh wait I know what’s going on here :shifty

I know. I got interns now so I’m working less and have plenty of time to play with chemicals.
Plus, brake cleaner was on sale.
ya its like 2 layers thick of the thickest stuff dynamat sells. i got a cut that was bleeding for literally like 5 hours trying to peel it off :rofl

Buy one/get one at AAP = win.
Maybe you havent seen how not-covered-in-sound-deadening-tar the cars in my garage are. Brake cleaner rules.
So that shit works on the leftover tar-mat residue? That’s it? Really? Brake parts cleaner?
I thought you had to use like, goof off or something hardass/terpentine like.

Yep. It’s the jam for just about anything.
Cleans grime off your hands too. Most of your skin cells too.
Do not remove Dynamat
Buy kickass subwoofers

Nah, maybe if I drove a Honda…
I don’t feel like waiting for the inevitable.
