does anyone know how to replace your Fuel Pressure Regulator…i need to replace mine …get back to me plz if anyone knows how ?
Why would you need to replace it?
It’s two screws. Remove them swap regulators and be done with.
i dont know if need to …but once i replace my fuel pump and the problem is still there …then that would mean my fuel pressur regulator is toast…
well why dont figure out what the problem is exactely instead of just guessing and wasting money on a fuel pump. I doubt its your fuel pressure regulator but if your not sure then test it and find out its not that hard.
Hook up a fuel pressure guage to the fuel rail. If your static pressure with vacuum connected and disconnected with within factory specs, there’s no need to replace the regulator. Those things hardly go wrong unless it’s been hit, crushed, or damaged.
What kind of problem do you have anyways? Instead of simple guessing and replacing parts that don’t need to be replaced. Ask some question, and I’m sure someone here might be able to guide you through the right way.
my gastank was leaking…so i picked one up from the junkyard off a 89 240 (mines a 93)…i later found out that it was just the gasket that was cracked on my old gas tank…replaced the gas tank and fuel pump…and every since then i had a accelerating problem…i wud put my old pump back in but, my dads mechanic did it and it kinda got tossed away…im almost CERTAIN its my fuel pump … ‘Freak’ aka. Bob is my really good friend…we took it for a spin and i showed him the problem…(car doesnt rev past 3-4000)…well it does but it takes bout 10-15sec for me to redline it in neutral…he thinks its the fuel pump also…anyone got any ideas…? (i have to get my lines flushed too)…cuz when i replaced the fuel filter…there was alot of GUNK! from the new tank…i duno if my lines got clogged or this tank i got had a weak fuel pump…help me out guys…i need your opinion/help/experties… thanks everyone
Try the fuel pressure test.
Dude can I ask why you replaced youy 1993 tank with a 1989 tank?
Did you honestly think a 16 year old tank would still be in good shape?
Why not just to to Canadian Tire and pick up a NEW one for ~$150?
Bah…
