Well, a small update. Haven’t gotten a lot accomplished, or at least it doesn’t seem that way. I put on the new brake calipers to finish the brake system, so that is nice.
Quick photo comparing the stock brakes to a set of 993TT (Big Reds) that a friend has for his 951
Now I have a set of HP+ front pads that I’ll be running for now, with ATE Super Blue fluid when the time comes. Should be good enough to get started with at least.
A friend of mine started messing with the gas door release and fixed it, which totally made my weekend. I was NOT looking forward to dealing with that.
Put the new fuel pump in and set the housing back into the tank. Next comes getting hardware to replace the ruined stock stuff and figuring out a bit better fuel line setup than what I have now. I want to get the pressure regulator up in front of the car instead of in the rear as it was set up for.
I also started to string the wiring for the battery relocation, but I’m not sure where to connect the positive to up front. Here are a couple of my options.
I also got in my steering wheel, ordered the hub for it and got my power steering pump and modified the spring in it to run a lower rack pressure.
