How to steal the soul of an FD - SOLD

looking good

Brent - did ya get the fuel line fixed?

Fitting should be here tomorrow. Hopefully that fixes it. It’ll be nice to be done under the car…

So, I got a lot done today. It’s at the point where I could drive the car if I needed to, but I want to get some more stuff buttoned up first.

Driveshaft is totally in
Torque arm is totally in
02 sensors are in (took some work with clearances)
Fuel system is back in and fuel pressure is set to 58psi

It was a great day for getting stuff done! Hopefully I can do as much tomorrow!

AWESOME!!!

Cant wait to see it out

ugh, I really want to see this car. this seems like such a fun project.

NYSpeed’s 2007 Award for Holy Shit I’m Damn Near Done :eekdance:

You guys are tearing it up.

please check and recheck everything.(not that you havent) but it never hurts. you dont want to ruin a project like this with a mistake.

good job BTW.

^^ Great advice. It really helps having 4 or 5 people in and out on things and 2 people doing stuff all the time. Almost everything is caught that way, with so many different sets of eyes spotting anything that’s missing.

That, and it’s all I think about anymore.

And, yeah, we are trying to tear it up as much as possible. Once I get determined, shit happens quick. Setting a deadline so soon has really motivated me!

Got a bit more done on the car today.

Spent about 2 hours making clearance for the passenger’s side header. It was hitting the starter hump, so I ground off a bit of it. They fit great now.

I also put on the exhaust turndowns so I can drive the car around a bit without burning the underside of the body. I cut them pretty slick so they don’t take away any ground clearance. The car is super loud now though!!

I also registered the car and ordered my custom plates tonight.

Took me a while to get over and get started tonight, so the progress wasn’t great, but I’m taking off of work tomorrow to kick ass on the rest of the wiring.

gr8 pl8!

Cool Brent you’ll be driving it soon, well done!

nice progression and updates with the picture good job on the work done…when i see that license plate i will know now lol

It drove.

I babied it a bit and was shifting very slow.

I also was driving across town to a friend’s garage. In a rainstorm. With no headlights. With no wipers. With no front bumper. With the driveshaft exposed to the interior. With no seatbelts. With no seats (driver’s was in but not bolted down).

Oh yeah, and most importantly, with NO OBDII codes thrown.

Here’s the payoff.
