i need help. my snoring has gotten out of control and drives my roomates nuts. ive tried a few things like double pillow to change the angle of my neck, but no go. i wake up with a sore throat sometimes from it, so i know its decently loud.
yeah, ive been whoring google trying to find home remedies, and i think im gonna try the breath right strips tonight. if those dont work, ill try the throat spray, if all else fails to the dentist i go
and i also have recently gotten a humidifier and a room air-filter thingy for my bedroom…both my roomates smoke(kitchen only)…and thats a contributing factor. also apparently irregular sleeping patterns and not getting enough sleep make it worse…i never stood a chance (architecture school)
lol, tried…helps a bit, but i still fucking snore. i dont get it, anyone who knows me knows my nose is more like a beak than a nose. guess it doesnt help i have allergies and a past with asthma
just like you i snore like a fiend, my wife HATES IT, on my side im ok on my back not so good, you ever have your tonsels out? Or got poped in the nose?, My ENT(ear nose throat) doc told me that if i had my tonsels out it would really alleviate my unease in sleeping. I had a diveated septum (cartilidge overlap) in my nose an had that operated on a few years back that did make a difference. Alot of those over the counter snore remidies dont work tried it been there never again. Or call one of those sleep apnea centers and they can bring you in for a sleep study and see what may be the primary route cause for it. Note i deal with asthma as well are you on any kind of medication (cortisteroid )or wake up wheezing or tight?
If it just recently got bad, try a humidifier in your bedroom. Since the cold snap the air has been extremely dry. With your comment about a sore throat when you wake up I’m guessing dry air is a big part of your problem.
It may turn out to be sleep apnea as well, which is more serious.
I snore really loud in every position, at about 60 dba according to my dads meter, and the ENT doc said it was a pallet issue and he couldnt do anything about without major surgery, and if my sleep apnea ever gets worse, where i wake up and have to catch my breath then its time to get sliced and diced. as of now. I stop breathing at times up to a minute
yeah i was thinking about the tonsels. ive been debating asking a doc about it. i also wouldnt be surprised if i have sleep apnea, but w/e. well see if anything i try this week helps before i go trying to see a doctor about it.
