huge friggin bush>Z

whoa! that’s some serious abuse from some bushes. Always hate to see a Z take a beating :frowning:

Hearing about your guys bad days on Sunday makes me happy it was storming here and I left it in the garage.

Mine happened in Oswego… and it was quite wet out there too.

ITS ALL A LIE…IF YOU SAW HIS PREVIOUS FRONT BUMPER, YOU WOULD KNOW HE DID THIS ON PURPOSE! DONT BUY INTO IT PEOPLE!

lol jus playin…sorry to hear again…but you better get that jspec bumper…and y not get a jspec wing too…JDM4L

im stayin wingless… i like the look without one

holy cow…thats wild…but JDM bumpers rule, i think im going to get one this winter and shave those little license plate nipples off  good luck getting that thing back to 100%…looks like the new guy with the white one should stay out nyspeed for a little while if he knows whats best for his z32 :frowning:

yea i picked up the car today and it started fine and drove normal. i was surprised the radiator or intercoolers didnt get hit. basically im looking at a new bumper some tweaking of the fenders and paint…it could have been much worse

come on… nothing? this is genius.

good ooooooneeeeeee, ur bday is over, no one wants to be nice to you

pssht.

dont get the j-spec bumper. I know everyone in the Z community has a hard on for it cause its JDM but I think it looks shitty in person.

im either lookin at the jspec or another clean looking aftermarket one when i find it i will post it up for opinions… you have the greddy correct?

 that sucks man…get that ish fixed.

Actually mine is the Wings West. Quality is top notch, flows with the body lines well, and has the openings in all the proper locations for flow to radiator or FMIC, intake, oil cooler, etc. I did a lot of research before buying my kit. The WW was the most functional for my needs. And it looks good IMO.

IMO the JDM is how the Z should have always looked. It fits the lines of the car much better than the USDM, with a clean look that doesn’t contradict the simplistic / clean flowing lines of the body. Any other Z bumper detracts the eye from the smooth body to a cluttered, overly detailed & styled front-end.

Of course it does this with a bit of airflow compromise to the SMICs, but the overall effects are miniscule.

You have to admit, that bumper on NSRz32’s car looks pretty hot though.

jspec front bumper on a z > *

it’s on my list for when i get a new paint job…and i still can’t decide if i wanna go with the stock '94+ wing, or the '99 jspec wing…

The only thing I don’t like about it is the pointed / flared ‘lip’ at the bottom (highlighted in pic below) which doesn’t flow with the car unless you buy side skirts and the rear to match (which he did.) Again IMO, once you start adding side skirts and the rear valance, you take away the simple lines of the car and add extra ‘flare’ which spoils what sets the Z apart from other cars.

No offense Jerry; your car is hot, and there are plenty of nice Zs out there with kits on them, but they’re not for me

I must admit, clean looking stock Z’s with some nice wheels and that small lip stock wing, I’m not sure what year it was from, looks the best. I like the Z’s relatively unmolested…

in case anyone is curious i put up some more pics in the members rides section makes me sad  :frowning:

Hey its cool man  To each their own. That’s the beauty of there being like 100 different kits for the z32. People can cater to their tastes. I just think the Z needs a little something to spruce it up. But I’d rather have the stock TT front than the JDM one. I dunno, I just can’t get with the look of the j-spec.
