HYUNDAI ASSURANCE !!!! tup

In the article I like how Hyundai said their research showed that people are not interested in rebates.
Yet GM had a good December compared to the competition and did not offer any special financing, free gas or leasing, only rebates.

I like the creativity of the offer, similar to the buy a car get a gun free campaign. If people are talking about it, it is working.

If you can’t read it sorry but I found this interesting:

"If a Hyundai buyer loses his or her job within 12 months after taking delivery, the buyer can return the vehicle to the dealership without damaging the buyer’s credit rating. "

also a customer must make the first two months payments to become eligible.

So you are offering 10 months of coverage basiclly?

yes but no… Usually you make your 1st payment upfront… so 11months or you can purchase an extended coverage up to 36months. Dont know how much that is yet though. But hopefully the economy/job loses wont be so bad by then

it’s a great sales strategy… as long as they don’t go and pull a Mitsubishi… remember their big sales fail

I’d still buy a honda which I suspect will have better resale and higher reliability so the same overall cost of ownership for a better car.

Can we please stay on topic:picard:

This isnt Honda>Hyundai… ITS HYUNDAI OFFERS SOMETHING FOR EVERYBODY IN THIS HORRIBLE MARKET THAT NO ONE ELSE IS AND THEY ARE REALLY LOOKING OUT TO LEND A HAND TO PEOPLE IN NEED!

Oh yea forgot to mention that Hyundai now donates $5 of every new unit thats sold to HOPE ON WHEELS… They have donated over $10 million to childrens hospitals worldwide, THERE now you dont have to feel bad for leaning towards HYUNDAI

Well any dealer can sell this product.
Hyundai is the only manufacturer that is including it.

yea exactly… And basically introducing it to the public… Who ever knew you could puchase a plan like this? I didnt and i sell cars

Working for vehicle insurance product companies for 3 years I have seen a lot of crazy stuff. Europe and Canada have some very interesting products. The US and NY in particular have much more strict regulations and therefore you probably see less of them.

My favorite one still is a $200+ (retail) key replacement program

That’s because Hyundai buyers are all lunch box buyers. Not to mention, I’d rather have a Honda or a Toyota with a 60k warranty than a Hyundai with 100k that I’ll probably need.

:stuck_out_tongue:

Key fob replacement programs are valuable only for people with leases. Where it’s required you turn in all keys/fobs or you face a penalty (Around $300).

Its actually not a bad idea if you have the habit of breaking keys fobs.

Besides a lease…when the fuck do you make a first payment up front?

Usually your payment schedule starts 45 days after purchase on a buy. Unless you’re just trying to tell consumers that their first payment needs to be included in the down payment to increase gross?

Right but how much is it to replace a fob and key for a typical car $100?
So you are planning on losing your keys more than 2 times?

Yes on an German car or something with a more expensive fob maybe it is a good idea.

Also, I agree with Beck 45 days is pretty common from what I have seen. I ran into it a lot when bi-weekly payment programs first came out.

Replacement cost for a Toyota Key/Fob (all-in one) is ~$275 w/ programming.

A smart-key system key is about $350.

So yes, I’ll spend an extra $150 for the warranty, and avoid ever having to buy keys if they get broken.

It’s the same reason I have cell phone insurance.

Bi-weekly is the easiest thing in the world to sell. Little do they know that their is a $299 enrollment fee :mamoru:

PS - i just called for fun. it turns out i’m $100 weak on both estimates for key fob replacement. :frowning:

Meh i would have to drive a Honda to have a fair comparison(but the new accord is sexy)… But Toyotas are so BLAH and boring they all look the same and just dont have the quality and sizzle that they once did, same with Nissan. Not to mention critics compare some Hyundai models to Lexus’ skipping right over the Toyota line up.

And whats a lunch box buyer?
What ever it is i must say i disagree just for the fact i get every type of customer from college kids (Accent/Tiburon) to middle age singles couples (Sonata/Santa fe) to old ladies (Elantra/Sonata) Big families (Veracruz/Entourage) Older retired men (Azera), Doctors/Lawyers/Deans/Gangstas (Genesis)

Lunch box buyers are people who bring their lunches to work.

More college grads buy Toyota’s than any other company. LOL @ Toyota quality being lackluster. The Genesis goes straight to Lexus, because its based on price comparisons in the class. As far as being boring…umm I’ve driven Sonata’s and Elantra’s and wouldn’t be caught dead driving or buying one.

However, I’m not going to get into a Honda Toyota > Hyundai war…because the numbers speak volumes and louder than words. Not to mention, you’re a little biased.

People buy Hyundai’s because they can’t afford Honda’s or Toyota’s. True statement.

Really i had no idea either had anything to compare to Veracruz OR Genesis

OH YEA THEY DONT

How many Genesis have you sold?

I <3 the Venza.

Either way. There are two types of sales people in the field.

One’s who sell Toyota’s and Honda’s…

and one’s who wish they sold Toyota’s and Honda’s.
