As if the Genesis 2.0T’s two catalysts bricks and dual mufflers weren’t providing enough exhaust backpressure, the company’s engineers went ahead and smashed the exhaust down for good measure. Okay, it’s that way to provide miles of clearance for the chassis brace underneath, but that it further reduces dangerous horsepower is like a gimmie for tuners.
Yeah I guess… I just dont understand what the difference is between safety with this car, and saftey of a similar car made 5 years ago which would have weighed 3000lbs is. Im sure this thing would be one step closer to a wonder if it only even shaved 300lbs.
look at the crash tests… almost every car has ~ 10 airbags, and gets 5stars in crash ratings…
you are basically sitting in a car that is very safe, and has what amounts to a safety cell around the driver compartment…, not only that, but the loads of emissions equipment, like secodary air pumps, and EVAP purge canisters that were not around on cars in the early 90’s
not only that, but this car is supposedly 25% stiffer then a e46 m3
