As if the Genesis 2.0T’s two catalysts bricks and dual mufflers weren’t providing enough exhaust backpressure, the company’s engineers went ahead and smashed the exhaust down for good measure. Okay, it’s that way to provide miles of clearance for the chassis brace underneath, but that it further reduces dangerous horsepower is like a gimmie for tuners.

what’s the weight on this car?

BUT WHAT ABOUT MY 100K MILE WARRANTY?!?&*%%&89

3294

gross.

EW… I want a time machine to go back to a time where natural selection meant having coupes that weighed 2,600 lbs :frowning:

Not too shabby considering the stock specs. Suprised at the torque being higher than the listed specs.

EDIT: Fuck that is heavy.

slow and gay. For a car of that weight, I would never own a car with whp starting with 1, or even 2.

What kind of mileage does it get?

its tougher and tougher to get cars that weigh in at under 3k…

even the GTI weighs 3100…

3300lbs isn’t bad compared to what most new vehicles weigh.

Looks like an exhaust will open this car up a lot. Not bad.

with a tune and some bolt ons, that extra weight would not mean much

It just sucks when you have to start bolting on brake and suspension components to even yield similar handling results of a 2600 lb cah.

When people talk about how heavy cars are getting, I feel like they only think of speed. Weight is shitty in every facet!

That’s a lot heavier than I would have thought.

except safety/luxury… which is what 99% of car buyers want…

and if they dont, they buy a lotus… and deal with the fun getting in/out

i still like this car, curious to see what they get out of it with some bolt-ons/tune next

Yeah I guess… I just dont understand what the difference is between safety with this car, and saftey of a similar car made 5 years ago which would have weighed 3000lbs is. Im sure this thing would be one step closer to a wonder if it only even shaved 300lbs.

lol, who said anything about braking/turning, but I see your point if someone was to autox it.

look at the crash tests… almost every car has ~ 10 airbags, and gets 5stars in crash ratings…

you are basically sitting in a car that is very safe, and has what amounts to a safety cell around the driver compartment…, not only that, but the loads of emissions equipment, like secodary air pumps, and EVAP purge canisters that were not around on cars in the early 90’s

not only that, but this car is supposedly 25% stiffer then a e46 m3
