Hyundai new look all around

Actually, speaking of the 370Z, that’s a faceoff I’m interested in seeing… Both the I4 Genesis and the V6, see who sits where when the dust settles…

Genesis Coupe GT (2.0L) Group buy?

haha.

It feels weird saving Hyundai pics to my computer =/.

lmao I know… I keep oggling it… then remembering it’s a Hyundai… then not caring.

This thing is going to explode with potential.

Every aftermarket performance part that is released for the Evo X, will most likely be available for the Genesis.

I can’t wait to see what happens in the next couple seasons.

Pictures speak more then words.

Fuck, guy must have been moving at a decent pace :/:

Check out the car colour names:

Karussell White
Silverstone
Interlagos Yellow
Lime Rock Green
Acqua Minerale Blue
Mirabeau Blue
Tsukuba Red
Nordschleife Grey
Bathurst Black

Thought it was a nice touch

Only issue I seem to have with this car is that for about $2k more you can get a new Camaro, which is a beast.

Love the colour names… And yeah, an extra 2K would get you a Camaro, but then you’d be driving a Camaro… :S

Apparently in that accident both the driver and pass got banged up pretty good, airbags didn’t deploy.

um red flag…
airbags didnt deploy? is that something hyundai messed up or is it just an isolated incident?

I think it’s isolated. Hyundai has a pretty good safety record. I’m not too concerned about it.

You drive around in a 20 year old sports car with no airbags, and probably an aftermarket wheel, and you’re worried about a brand new car with proper crumple zones etc… :stuck_out_tongue:

The new Camaro is amazing… Canadian built car (Oshawa, the last Camaro was made in Quebec too), tons of power, tons of power potential. This isn’t the old muscle car that won’t handle (even through the past 2 generations of Camaro actually handled well with minor suspension mods, but anyways) it’s got the whole deal happening for it.

The crashed car sounds like it was an engineering mule or something, and not an actual sellable car, and that’s why the airbags didn’t go off. They probably never had them in the first place.

that is actually too expensive.

$30k for the GT, $35k for the GT-V6… iono, you’re right in 370z Territory now arent you? This was supposed to be notably cheaper.

*edit

370z sport pack is $44k, so the Genesis GT-V6 is $9k cheaper… and hyundai probably has better terms too.

Yeah I’m just bugging Mr. K, I’m not crazy about the look of the new one though, I’d get a Challenger first, even though they handle like a twizzler.

I’m very seriously looking at a base I4 Genesis though, I’ve got friends at the local Hyundai dealership… Gonna go talk to them soon I think.

I like the LOOK of the new challenger, but performance wise it’ll get shit all over by the Camaro. I don’t like the new Mustang either, I think it’s a bit of a downgrade from the current gen.

The base Genesis I would consider at least, but I think I’m going to need to get something AWD because I think I might be driving from London to Chatham every day. That leaves me with only a few options. Not bad options, but expensive =/.

Mmm 07 STi… Or get an Evo from the US

I agree with you as far as the new muscle cars, like I said, I know the Challenger is crap on the track, I’ve read the reviews, but it definitely is the nicest looking one out right now.

I figure you could probably get a base Genesis, you’re planning on getting rims anyway, so who cares about the factory 19"s., 18s are cheaper for winters if you don’t have a beater anyway… You can probably score someone’s brembo kit from Korea or something who’s upgraded to one of the aftermarket kits, or go straight to aftermarket yourself, and with a bigger snail and basic bolt ons you’d have a killer and still be driving a comfy new car. It’s got a decent stance from factory, but there’s already a ton of aftermarket, and Mike said HSD is gnna be making coils for it, which is awesome 'cause they’s dirty cheap…

after seeing that wheel, i wonder how his/her head turned out

wonder why the air bags didn`t go off?

^ It’s been discussed, and the theory is that it was a test mule, so it probably wasn’t equipped with them.

This.

I really don’t care much for American cars, but the Camaro I have a lot of respect for. Amazing car, and the new one just keeps getting better and better.

Some might have been presuaded by looks but after all how impressive could hyundai be ? all their cars are pretty slow and shitty
