I-10 Gulfport MS to Mobile AL

Background - Recently flew to Pascagoula MS via Gulport MS airport. Got done early and changed to an earlier flight out of neighboring Mobile AL airport. Coworker and I had to drive to Gulfport to return rental cars, rent another car and drive to Mobile AL to make this happen without costing a fortune, but it meant getting home 3 hours earlier.

I-10 connects the two airports. Speed Limit is 70 mph. With 50+ yr old coworker following, I was able to push my little 4 cyl cavalier to 85. After witnessing my driving ability and the short amount of time to make the flight, he let me drive to Mobile airport - hit 95. Didn’t want to put him into shock, but I’m pretty sure I could have hit 100 since it’s flat and straight. Got to the ticket counter 25 minutes before takeoff, but fucking Delta wouldn’t let us on the flight. Had to wait for the next flight an hour later. While we were waiting, we got to see a soldier reunite with his family though, so that was cool.

Point of the story - if you ever get the opportunity to drive I-10, it’s fun driving, just watch the state lines. The lady at the rental counter said they don’t really patrol it except at the state lines - I took her word for it.

The woman in our office (me included) have a reputation for driving fast and this just reinforced it - Jeff is sooo proud (We work together).

hahaha… that’s funny.

i drove on 10 for a little bit once… it’s kinda boring down there

IB:gives:

:stupid:

Just don’t get a ticket and make the insurance go up! And watch your mouth, there are impressionable youth on this board, :nono: like Hannibal. He’s not used to hearing language like that at the strip club!

take it to IM you two…or your living room… :moon:
