I bought mine 2 years ago…almost to the around this time of year. Didn’t know what drifitng was… just wanted another cheap, fun car with some decent aftermarket support. At the time I was also looking very seriously into DSM’s
i’m in…Oct 2003
:wavey:
April 2003. Just when things started happening that summer. :dunno:
Whenever I registered
I knew nothing about drifting, but I wanted to put an S15 front end on it and be a baller. No lie, search my old posts, I wanted to be the pimp with the S15 front, and smoke every domestic I ran into  I’m sure there’s a thread by me asking where I can get an SR20, and another one asking about how to do an S15 front conversion.
I’ve had my car for about 5 years as well.
But ofcourse everyone is gonna sign up to be “cool” now that drifting is “mainstream”.
I wanted one way back in high school (7 years ago!), but I couldn’t afford it. I didn’t know what drifting was till about 2-3 years ago… sadly, I bought my 240 in the middle of this drift craziness…
I powerslid my car on the first test drive with it.
Wanted to see how it handled…never intended on a drifting career or anything though.
Owned since Sept. 2004, wanted one since 1999-2000 or so. Just always liked the look of the fastback.
shut up four years ago… you bought your white S13 after i bought my second black coupe or that same summer anyways.
that was my second summer of university = 3 years ago and not more.
4 summers ago when i was 18 bing. im 21 now
i bought my drifting before i knew what a 240sx was
im out. im a big fat bandwagoner.
may 04…gran turismo did it for me (the first one)
My first 240sx was a red 1991 SE Hatch w/HICAS and OEM Aero. Bought it in the summer of 99’.
It was the day’s when taylor wires were the hot, SR’s were Rare (got a ride with James, black 91 hatch with a redtop) 6spd’s sucked for drift (didn’t know what it was) and some of you kids were still in elementary school.
Oh and for those old schoolers, SON240sx Yahoo Groups!
I got my first 240 over 2 years ago now, I knew what drifting was but the hype had’nt caught on at that time. I was one of the last people around to not pay too much for their car. $600 for a rust free florida car hahahaha suckas. This was back when you still didnt see 240’s at shows and rarely in magazines. Those were the days.
Still in that group…
made some nice change on that car
Still in that group…
=D I think my signon was roast12345… probably still registered.
I joined SON right after we moved to this forum, and I bought my car the previous spring (2001). I picked it because it was RWD, cheap and looked cool… that’s about it, I hadn’t read anything online about them.
In.
And out!
Im in… I bought my 240 2.5yrs ago but wanted one for about 2yrs proir to that when my Dad sold his Z32. I knew i couldnt afford a Z so i opted for the next best thing… Its been a really good 2.5 yrs.
