… Not only does it have an imobilizer, but some damn sensitive motion sensors… tried grabbing my work gate card out of the center console… i didn’t touch the car and as soon as i moved the gate card the alarm went off. I was shocked.
granted, if someone really wanted the car they could get it, but it’s a little peace of mind…

motion sensors are nothing new. Mine go off if you walk by the window when its open. Can be annoying during the summer.
i was just surprised the stock alarm was so nice though.
just hide the lotus between all the flanel and pick up trucks and you won’t have to wrry about an alarm. hell i bet half of the people there are wondering what the hell kind of car it is.
I used to like the idea of having a sensitive alarm. but now mine just drives me up a fuckin wall. Especially with soobyfreak (sp?) parking in my lot with his loud as hell STi. I can’t set my alarm cuz i know it will go off everytime a loud car goes by it.
wasn’t there a cool commercial a while ago where a guy covered his car (jetta?) with a tarp that looked like a different car that was all beat up.
