I completely had no idea that the waters I was fishing were trout waters and didnt even know they were closed for fishing. no signs posted or anything… ( I was fishing for bass like always)
I just wanted to go fishing so bad lol, the whole time I in the hospital for 2 weeks my dad brought me nothing but fishing mags…haha
guy was really nice and talked with me for awhile, he said request a hearing and he’ll tell the judge that I really didnt know and it will more than likely be dropped … I’d rather spend $70 elsewhere…
nope! lol there were other people along the stream. I heard he got them too.
guy that got me told me
your probably going to kick yourself in the ass for this but, you see that other stream that this stream connects to about 10 feet away?, well thats not trout waters and you can fish that… lol
yeah you gotta watch for those approved trout waters.
I talked to a complete idiot last year on opening day. He was telling me how he was fishing on the friday before opening day and got ticketed it. It was a fine for fishing in the waters then additional fines for each trout he possessed. He said to me that he didn’t even know there was a in and out of season for fish until the park ranger told him.
I always feel bad killing fish that big. so i throw the larger ones that are inedible back into the water. I figure a nice digital media picture is a good enough memory.
I feel the exact same. but I dunno what I would do if i was faced with the decision
oh and good news…
My girlfriend’s stepdad’s cousin is the judge at the place i have to go to, he is talking to him tonight and all I’ll probably have to do is rip up the ticket :blue:
