The two workers that were there were cool and just as curious to see how it held up in shipping and exactly what it was.
When I opened it, they saw the damage as well, in their talks with each other they said to label that as “refused because of damage on the package” and explained to me that their managerial side doesn’t allow to open packages like that on facility, so if I said that the actual product was damaged, the rep would question why it was opened.
I found that sort of interesting.
But I knew to open it on the spot, because another guy who received the same hard top from the same company, had structural fractures in the top. He however did not inspect upon delivery and inspected later on, which created a huge drama and mess.
I’m hoping to avoid this at the moment, so I contacted the manufacturer.
