I’ve looked at all kinda stuff and I just keep coming back to this bike. I’m thinking about heading over to gatto’s to check them out in person and talk to the guy.

Anyone have thoughts or opinions on the buell? I’d love to talk to someone who had more of a hands-on experience with them.

ugg un comfortable…

buy my busa… i wann get a HD cruiser

Holy front disc.

I haven’t heard much about Buells. You don’t see many around. I’ll ask around and see what people think.

i had a buell, chop the shit out of it
awesome powerplant for the money. the buells scooted. hopefully i will get ot rebuild over the winter

they really that uncomfortable? Compared to what?

That was another thing I liked, they are NOT a dime a dozen. I"m not into having something that everyone and there second cousin’s grandma has.

That thing looks like a 400ex quad. Go look how buell finished at daytona. Those bikes dont handle and there not fast. So whats the point??

I kida like the buell and the guy that started buell is from valencia

Ive seen them around. Nice bike; but not my cup of tea. JUst go sit on it and think about how you like it. You have to sit on one and hold it to get the idea atleast. Not to many people test drive bikes for many reasons. Have you ridden before Gearhead?

I’m not looking for something to kill myself on, so I liked the looks of the buell AND how people said they were slow. Seemed better for me.

One other thing is the seat height is 28.x", which for me having a 30 inseam should work out better for me. I’m only 5’10" with shoes on :stuck_out_tongue:

I figured its not for everybody, again why i’m more drawn to it. I haven’t actually ridden a crotch, but I have a clean 12 years or so on dirtbikes. So, I ASSume I’ll pick it up really quick.

I personally think they are ugly, but it’s not my money. Go ride it and see if it feels good, if it does, buy it and be happy.

I like being different and not liking what everyone else likes, but Buell’s are a little too “different” for me.

good luck

I appriciate the input… it is “different” for sure

Come over and help me put my fzr back together and you can take it for a spin

its sweet looking, like a dirt bike-rice rocket mix

that bike is nice, it looks cool in the same way as a pug, so funny lookin that i kinda like it

Tav, I’m in!! We’ll have to work that out.

I have yet to get ahold of Gatto’s to check one out… or even to see if they have them in stock. I did find a video about a guy reviewing it:

I dunno if that link works or not, so try it. Tell me what you think about what the big fat guy says.

so its almost a year later, and i still want one… but hell if i can afford it! :frowning:

I was trying to find a way to get an XB12r. Buell’s are freakin sweet.

My cousin has a buell lightning or something, it threw a rod through the block with only like 4,000 miles on it. Also the time i rode the buell I thought it had too much torque for how short the wheelbase is. The front end wants to come up all the time, thats cool if you like doing wheelies I guess. But if you’re going to be blasting down backroads, and accidently blip the throttle too hard in a turn you may be in trouble. Otherwise I’d personally never buy anything made by Harley. Buy a cheap older 600 ninja or gsx-r.

Dont buy a bike that you think is slow, or something that you aren’t afraid of. The day I lost the fear of my Yamaha R6 and thought I was the boss of it, is the day i wrecked it.

Excellent advice there Mr K.

ya rock on kolar
