payments are for the birds. buy something halfway decent and learn how to turn a wrench. i have owned 14 cars and have not taken a loan on a single one. it has been the best decision i have ever made.
also, how cool is that car going to be 2 years down the line when u are still making payments on it?
mike we talked about leasing on the way back from the bbq, but do whatever you feel is the best bang for your buck. LOL @ the entire board saying “you put 11k into it and nothing to show for it”, then all desperate to sell their cars with “this is what i owe on it, i really need to get that even though blue book is 5000 lower”
the subaru sounds great and all, but coming from a kid in a very similar situation in regaurds to debt and money issues…dont do it. seriously just finish putting the R/t back together and sell it. DO NOT get into another car requiring payments AT ALL. you will just be in the same situation, thats MAYBE not AS HARD to make the payments. get a damn civic thats cheap and in good shape from some old fucking lady and drive it into the ground while your in college. sell it when you graduate/move, get bestest car ever you want when you have a serious job later. its really not worth having a new car at this point in your life. take it from me. i LOVE my car, but being a junior and senior in high school working 30+hrs a week and never hanging out with friends to pay ~$340 a month for a car payment and insurance is the biggest regret that i have. i payed the car off, but im still $3500 in debt with what i’ve spend in credit for mods.
and ill be the first to call me stupid for that. stay away from it.

^ never, ever lease a car. you have nothing to trade in the end. leasing is a horrible option because you end up with nothing. waste o money.
^ what if you finance the car and end up with negative equity? for a fast depreciating car, buying 1-2 yrs old used > paying cash > leasing > financing.
fuck it i’ve almost paid back the money i borrowed to re-build my engine and im gonna keep the R/T and figure out how to pull ~$600 out of my ass by november to buy a beater.

yea i say no to leasing, but before u get all gay about saying leasing is the worst option ever…look at depreciation…if he spends 200/month x 4 years thats 9600 dollars …if we say the car is …20000 new…and he cant sell the car for over 10000 in 4 years, the lease was worth it…now i dono how much itll be worth in 4 years…but u get what im saying

My mom, who is on a fixed budget, went to northtown and picked up an 06 impreza (lease). this months deal is 0 money down…just tax, reg etc. She rolled the tax into the price. She basically only paid $115 for the reg, and her payments are $230 ish.
didnt cost her a dime otherwise. good deal on a nice car…

Get your head out of your ass. Either drive your rare and collectable Dakota all year or sell it and get something you can drive all year. You can’t afford any other options. If you have to “pull $600 out of your ass” to avoid driving your truck, you’re just going to drive your truck in the winter anyhow when you POS takes a shit and you can’t afford to fix it.
