about a month ago. the position was going nowhere and i asked if i was in a position where i would move into something more mechanically oriented. the answer was no. so i gave my two weeks notice and left.
the day after i gave my two weeks notice, i was given a position by a friend i race with down here. I am now the assistant manager of karting operations@ the world class 9/10 of a mile 13 turn shifter kart track. its been really fun so far. but not as fun as this week.
Monday was a special corporate event with Bentley. they had the 3rd place in LeMans finishing Speed8 race car(the actual car) and were giving rides to the highest bidders@ a charity auction Tuesday was more of the same. Thursday-today has been “Maranello madness” held by Shelton Ferrari(in Ft. Lauderdale)…

this gentleman owns 13 of the however many existing TOYOTA 2000GTs(13!!!) and 1 special 1. why special? because its one of 2 actual Toyota racaer 2000s ever produced. this car is pure sex. absolutely unreal. best looking Japanese coupe ever produced. i have a vid of it running too. that youll see tomorrow.
and this was a road course event. i got to listen(i was working their karting events on the kart track) to all of these sexy cars racing pretty spiritedly at high speeds.
lol its the easiest job in the world. i had some1 below me watch grid for 15 minutes while i rally-crossed my friends 240 on kuhmo dirt tires during an scca rally-cross test and tune.
most impressive thing about this thread was before the pictures. when you said you quit your other job instantly because you realized it wasnt going to take you where you wanted to go.
