No it’s not black it’s not in the sun, I’m not holding a blowtorch to it, it’s 90 degrees in the room. Early athlons had heat issues out of the box normally assuimg it’s 70ish degrees in the room it will run around 65-68C under load which is just below the normal limit of 70C.
For now I’ve just dropped the FSB speed down to 100MHz, and the processor is running at a cool 54C right now. However it’s only slightly above 80 right now in the room it’s about to get much warmer.
