It would be even better if we could find someone that looks like Xzibit, buy some professional looking camera equipment, and then go around finding mediocre cars and be like “We’re gonna pimp you ride, hand over the keys!” And then just steal their cars.

ive really been thinking of getting the speed channel, but its in a bundle of channels that suck. Is it worth getting, or is it all Nascar?

I have direct TV so you don’t have to pay extra for it…it comes with total choice…

there are a lof of decent shows…there is a little too much nascar for me, but any nascar is too much for me.
on weekends you get all kinds of racing, La-Mans, Touring, Motorcycle, etc…
personally i think its a must have since they only show nascar and the occasional Indy & la-mans on any of the other stations.

pimp my ride is good for its entertainment value not its cars. we are car guys so of course we would rip that show apart but the average shmuck doen’t know any better. Its like a mix of overhaulin and monster garage. They gotta have a gimick in each car. fact is these cars were shot and now they look a lot better.

i’d have taken the busted look over the “finished” product.
overhaulin is cool, i love the fact that they do the whole car…but it would be better if they didn’t show so much of the “prank calls” and what not…but thats just me.
*2 its just cool that they don’t just make the car look better… i mean you leave with a show quality car. i think they said that a couple of those cars are worth $100,000+ when complete. even if that’s an overestimate, you can’t argue with the quality of work. those paint jobs are exxxxxxxtremely well done.

they look good without being huge, and still look relatively stock.
i was thinkin more along the lines when they put offset wheels on RWD cars, wheels with a dish look way nicer on RWD than offset.

I wouldnt go that far. Its hella better than pimp my ride, but the pranks are definately what makes the show. Ive seriously teared up watching that show.
