So I work at a higher ed. institution and we have this assistance for people w/ disabilities program, like people with down syndrome and stuff like that. Im not a mean person by any means, especially when it comes to working with people who have disabilities. I’ve volunteered for make-a-wish all through highschool and still keep in contact with active officers to this day, but aside from everyone I work with being fuckin retarded, sometimes the real assited clients are on campus escorted by a staff member. Well to make a long story short, I was over in the program’s offices a few days ago and theres a female client there that has down syndrome, and her and a female staff member are chatting away while I’m doing whatever.
SO Im sitting here in my office Pittspeeding and they both walk in about 5 min ago, the staff girl stands a the door while the same assisted client girl walked over and offers me a doughnut.
I didn’t know what to say. Without hesitation, I kindly thanked her for the offer but I did not take the doughnut, I told her it was not part of my diet and to give it to one of my student workers who obvisoulsy wasn’t on a diet. So the client and staff girls say bye and turn around, walk away, then everyone in my office turns and looks at me like I committed murder!!!
FUCK THEM! I feel like such a peice of shit right now lol. Oh well, God only knows my intentions are good
