UPDATING THREAD ::: AGAIN!!! Oct 6, 2013
1997 Kouki S14 LE model with a very clean SR20DET.
The frame is perfect, the rear fenders are rolled. There is some surface rust on the rockers but you cant see it.
The mileage is high but no way to validate… could be anywhere from 300-500k by now… cluster is JDM and I registered it at 72k, it says about 150k now… i changed the motorset from that set that came with the cluster anyways.
It has been aligned and corner-balanced by Can-Alignment. This car ROCKS on the street… there are some rattles and squeaks because of all the suspension work but nothing to be concerned of.

BASF Glasurit Paint (BMW Black)
Complete paint job by CARSTAR 401 (insurance grade, $5k value, not a cheap re-spray. This facility does not do cosmetic work)
Brand new front windshield and front windshield trim… it all came out for the paint job.
The windshield was removed, all door glass trim was removed, bumpers, fenders etc. were removed, lips, valances, skirts etc. were painted off the car. the rolled fenders were sprayed with a flexible black rocker gaurd (better than paint) as were all inner areas in the rear wheel wells. there are no holes anywhere. the car was painted in one of the top facilities in the country. Literally a top 25 collision repair shop in Canada and the car was treated like a VIP since I work for the corporate office. Paint was sponsored by BASF and the paint and materials alone have an insurance rate value of about $1800. It took 6 weeks to complete.
The car needs a buff or a cut and polish since it’s been daily driven for a few years until these past few months where i’ve been travelling too much to drive it.
You can see on page 3 that the car was in a minor rear end accident and was repaired again at CARSTAR 401. the car again looks just as good as it did when it first came out of the paint shop last year
Boost gauge is in the oem cigarette lighter position, the cig lighter is located in the lower DIN pocket off to the right hand side to keep charger cables away from the e-brake and shifter.
The car is 100% mechanically sound but does have issues catching ignition when cold… this can be tuned out, in fact Sasha owes me a cold start tuning.
We all know how rare these cars are. There is quite likely fewer than 1000 LE Kouki S14’s left in Canada and this will be one of the cleanest, fastest and most comprehensively modded of them all.
I paid $11k just over 6 years ago and I have what would normally cost more than $20k into it… there is no known combination of cleaner / better modified S14 Kouki around that I know of now that Dan’s LS S14, Dylan’s purple S14 and Varun’s olive green S14 are all gone…
$16,500.
Trades… sure i’ll consider stuff but I dont want modified cars, i already have a Dinan E90 M3 so if i replace the S14 it will be with a Lotus or a Porsche.
No rush to sell, this car will always be worth the same it is now so long as you maintain it properly because of how rare and desirable it is. In fact, I’m sure the buyers of the other S14’s like this didnt lose much of any money on part outs and other than Dan’s S14 with the LS this one has way more stuff on it anyways.

I got my Kouki back from CARSTAR 401 the other day with a fresh paint job.
Windshield came out, new trim around it, not a full windows off thing but pretty close, bumpers off etc… car looks solid… i have a shit camera right now so i cant get anything really good but hopefully some of these will give you an idea.
It’s an OEM BMW Black with some pearl in it, nothing too crazy but very nice.
I had my S14 valances installed, the fibreglass reps… I also rolled the fenders in the days leading up to the car going in and they put a healthy dose of rocker guard up in there… lots of little things like that…

::: UPDATED :::
Recently swapped in a low mileage S13 SR20 motorset out of my coupe that puts down 334 rwhp and then added Centerline Motorsports exhaust manifold, K-sport 8/6 piston big brake kit with pads and rotors powder coated red (approx $4k upgrade) and OEM 350z Rays V1 track wheels among other things…
this is what the car looks like now… Sept 2013 picture
