I am trying to evaluate my options for selling/trading my old S13 chassis.
The chassis was purchased from Matt last spring as my new car, I spent
the summer of 2004 prepping the chassis, building it up, and then drifting
it.
I will post some pics of the project for you to get and idea of the car and
how much work was put into it.
Completely gutted the car:
Got rid of all the sound deadening residue with gasoline and rag:
Sanded it down and sprayed with fresh primer:
Painted engine bay/interior with gloss black rust inhibiting paint:
After all this prep work, I put on Z32 brakes, D2 coilovers, my Redtop
SR20DET, FMIC, etc. I painted the exterior flat black, left it for a year or
so, then began painting it gloss black. This year I decided to do a T3
turbo setup on the SR, but after being in the shop for over a month I
was getting frustrated and started looking for a new car. I found my s14,
and the rest was history.
Now I have parted out all of the aftermarket parts from this car, and my
parents are nagging me to get rid of the chassis. The car is in a pretty
stripped state right now. I have all of the OEM parts, but you’ll need to
put a motor in, swap over your suspension, put on some nicer wheels, etc
before driving it. The frame is very clean, theres a small bit of rust on
the driver side rocker. The car is a very solid base for a project car, but
needs the aforementioned work as well as an exterior paint job.
I will include all the OEM stuff I have for the car (in the trunk).
This car is IDEAL for someone with all the parts but a smashed up/rusty
frame.
I am posting this to see how many people would be interested in taking
the car AS-IS with all the OEM parts I have for it.
School is starting for me next week, and I’d prefer to sell this whole as
opposed to parting it out and junking the chassis, since its quite a solid
frame. I would like to get rid of this ASAP, so I need to decide if I should
sell the whole car with all the parts, or part it out. I don’t have time to
re-install all of the OEM parts and return it to stock condition to sell on
the Trader… but it makes a great project car.
The asking price is $1000 OBO. This includes towing within 200km of
Richmond Hill to the location of your choice.
