-tried to pull out but only caught and cut up his arm

when you drop shit way down deep in the car when your working on it, do you jamb your arm in to grab it? NOPE, I grabe a magnetic pickup or a stick to knock the fallen piece out. The guy should have just gotten a flash light and something to fish it out with. if its only an arms length deep, I am sure there was a much better way to remove the thing.
I wish they showed a pic of where in the thing it fell and what exactly he stuck his meat paw into.
The article said they wripped the furnace apart and i’m sure what was left of it wasn’t a pretty site to see with the mess the guy made from trying to saw his arm off.
