:tif: You rent the place out. Linoleum and drywall until you don’t have other goons living there.
haha, laminate and drywall, to be precise. Actually once I kick the other goons out I’d like to turn the tiny front bedroom into half glamour bath, half walk-in closet, but making it a 2-bedroom would probably hurt my resale.
LOL whatever. That plastic shit you glue down in one big sheet for like $40 bucks.
Yeah 4k was including my countertops, stove, range hood, sink and faucets for the kitchen. Those pex fittings add up real quick lol. The floor tile was over 2$ a tile. Just a ton of shit ya dont think about, grout, mortar, concrete board, wiring, tools, caulks, silicones, fittings, etc etc.
yea… i bet. unbelieveable… looks so much better.
Wow, very very nice.
 to a centered vent fan. They are way more effecient when placed correctly.
I really like that surround. I see why you were happy about it holding so many shampoo bottles. lol.
I know pedestals are “in”, but god do I hate them. I’ll take storage any day over them.
oh, I shoulda posted the pic, there are floor to ceiling cabinets with shelves behind the door to the right. they house all the bathroom items. i get 1 shelf, the lady gets 5 lol.
Looks like you did a good job!
“You’ll see a 100% return on your investment” -HGTV just messing around, I watch HGTV all the time, I had to!
Did you pull a permit?
I’m doing a bathroom in my place now; and the little crap just adds up quick!!! I’m still in the roughing phase; but I’m only working on it part time and as I have $$$.
I tore my room COMPLETELY apart; I mean down to the floor joists and put a new sub-floor in. Luke_L can tell you about that adventure… always fun doing that; but 3/4" T&G Waterproof plywood makes for a HELLISH solid floor in comparison to 1x6 boards.
nice, I would have loved to go to the studs but its my only bathroom and washing in my pool got old real quick lol. I tore out the “tile” to the subfloor and screwed my concrete board to that thru the studs, then ceramic tile over it. My next joints gonna have 2 baths minimum. I had to poop in a bucket!
DAMN!!! Yea, I’ve still got my primary bathroom; this is a replacement one I’m doing. I had one in the basement, I tore that one out, and am putting a 1/2 Bath & Laundry on my 1st floor seeing for some F-d up reason my house didn’t/doesnt have a 1st floor bathroom!
want to help me do my bathroom? lol good job looks nice…i need to modernized my bathroom…pink and gray tiles = OUTDATED! lol that what the wife told me.
for those of you who haven’t figured it out yet, per square foot, the bathroom is the most expensive room to redo.
Also tends to be the most gross too
Girls might think guys are brutal on the bathroom, I’m telling you they’re wrong. Gutted plenty of baths down to studs and found all sorts of things.
Amen, we even went with middle priced products. I know better than to use the shit stuff, but won’t be in the house long enough to reap the benefits of the high end stuff.
you could have used my bathroom lol i live on angle.
It looks awesome. good job, I just redid my hard wood floors and in the midst of installing energy star windows but im the suck at pictures.
saw the tub next to your side door.
Very nice.
OT: Whose hair is thinning? I spot Nioxin!
^such a bitch. lol. probably his g.f
I bought the nioxin, shit didn’t work. now it sits, such a waste of money.
Very nice work. To complete that in 4 days is moving along pretty good.
I really like that floor tile.
Yeah it is REAL fun carrying a full sheet of Plywood accross an open floor on just the joists…Haha. I could not believe the difference on how tight the floor felt once we got it in. It motivated me to do the same in my bathroom teardown.
waitttt… u didnt shower for 4 days… gross.
