If you run RDP on the internet, you may want to reconsider your security strategy. In my opinion, there is very few applications that would have direct RDP access on a public server.
Meh, I have RDP forwarded from my router to my 7 machine at home. I has auto-updates installed, AV and I use strong passwords. If someone wants in bad enough they’ll find a way in but it’s a risk/reward thing. How much time do you really want to put in to gain access to my 3tb of TV and movies, all shit you could get just as easily from usenet/torrents.
yes for the love of god update your shit
this one is a big deal … JayS, double check that machine as been updated. Do it now if it hasn’t been.
Pretty sure this was included (Manually) in our WSUS updates yesterday. I’d have to check though.
Yeah, mine is all set. Got the “this update has already been installed” when I tried to run it.
If you can I think it is a wise idea to install openvpn into your router or hell use PPTP vpn. Whenever I get off my shitty VZ Fios actiontec I intend to setup a openvpn for remote access.
