I have a network of 4 computers set up at home and would like to access these from my shop. I have a wireless network set up at home. Should I set up software like pc anywhere or add a vpn router to the wireless router? What are my options?

forward the ports through the router…

if you they are all wired connections you could get a Gig router… making it faster between computers… and they are relatively cheap now

Just get a router and use port forwarding…and RDP.
