The exhaust won’t rust out. Also not sure about that TB/Plenum spacer unless you’re spraying nitrous in there but kudos for the modification.
lol, it’s a japanese car. It’s not a matter of IF it will rust out the exhaust, it’s a matter of when. Japanese cars are notorious for rusting easier than some others. This I can admit.
My Maxima was a prime example…after 2 legit winters (the previous owner garaged the car constantly), that exhaust (specifically the muffler) was toast.
Spacer was done to remove the slight restrictions in the air flow and help ‘efficiency’. Cheap thing to do and not very hard…don’t really care if it gives me 1hp or not. I got more power from the UpRev tune most likely than I did anything else. But again, power isn’t why I’m doing these things. Just trying to make it a bit more efficient…although it could all just be for naught and more of a placebo effect. Who knows.
Just drive around with it all rusted out. It’ll give you the same sound

Car has 104kmi on it and looks/drives like it’s got the 32kmi on it when I bought it.
Got flamed for some of my initial plans but…
Car is basically done and where I wanted it…did some things I thought I wouldn’t do like suspension but kind of happy I did it now:
- 19x8.5 BE by Breyton GTS-AV Wheels
- BC Racing BR-Type Coilovers
- MXP SP Exhaust
- 35% tint all around with 50% on the front windshield
- HID/LED Exterior Bulbs where applicable
- Better tires and brakes - OEM is crap in both areas so these are slightly improved
- USA Spec. PA15-NIS iPod Interface
- Motordyne 5/16" Copper Iso Thermal Spacer (intake and throttle body)
- Stillen Z-Tube (removes baffle from intake tubing and is a straight through plastic intake tube from the airbox to the TB)
Last things I have planned (if I decided to go through with them) are:
- Sarona OEM Replica lip kit or 2008 front bumper conversion (still not sure if I will do this)
- Trunk lip spoiler (already have this, needs to be painted and installed)
- Minor upgrade to the stock Bose sound system - better sub and speakers
- Dynamat (or similar) certain parts of the car like the entire trunk area, under the rear seat, rear deck, etc.
- Maybe some 5mm or 10mm H&R Spacers

Nah it’s crooked. Need to mess with it a bit. Haven’t been on the lift since RavSpec installed it. When I do my oil prior to leaving for FL in 3 weeks I’ll take a look at it.
