If we didnt have state and local government funded police forces, a private entity would have stepped in the provide the service, arguably with less waste than NYS does it. Police protection is a service that people will gladly pay for, and is therefore an opportunity to make a living ($), and would’ve been provided by an entrepreneur.

No I’m not saying that’s a good idea. You guys are going overboard with the capitalism support you’re reading. Instead of reasonable discussion, you’re dropping one liners trying to make the other person look ill-informed.

policing at this point has not be privatlized, however corrections has, especially in the south and in CA. it’s a lot different and i dont think it should be done this way, especially when it comes to people’s rights.
