A sad day...

…for the United States and your personal freedoms.

They pushed a bill that no one wanted and have officially signed their own political death warrants.

This is the worst thing to happen to our country because it is the first MAJOR step towards overall government control (socialism) and a gigantic step away from keeping your personal freedoms.

All they succeeded in was to further divide this country, increase our national debt by $1 trillion and strip us of another personal freedom.

+1 buddy…

knew this was gonna happen. stupidity…

Granted I haven’t read that much into it. I honestly do not care, call me ignorant as I may be, but my opinion doesnt matter, never will. The government will do what they want when they want and how they want. The only way that will ever change is another revoloution.

With my ignorance on the subject being stated.

I have no problem with universal health care, it works in a lot of other countries, would help many americans in the future and I think its a great idea. How they go about it seems to be the issue. I dont know why everyones so scared of a universal health system, thinking its going to lead us into a communist like state.

From the little I read on the subject, and what people around here say etc. It seems like the american people getting their way is all but just an illusion to make us feel like were still in a free state. As stated before the governemtn can and will do what they want when they want, even if its behind closed doors. It seems like our “freedoms” are just an illusion for what really lays behind the door, while we may feel free were still bound by the government.

But hey I have no idea wtf im talking about so maybe im just blowing smoke up my own ass.

Shady that has very little to do with the issue. After admitting you’re an idiot, you’re an idiot.

And I have no idea why anyone’s bitching about personal freedoms when there’s crippling tax and gov inefficiency increases to worry about.

Fair enough, as stated… I am extremely misinformed on the subject and its mainly my own fault for really not caring enough. This country being run into the ground, now all we get to do is sit back and enjoy the ride.

Maybe I’m wrong, but seriously what the hell can we do? Like anything we say seems to matter anymore.

Undocumented benefits of the healthcare bill: Rush Limbaugh leaves the country

We talked about this in econ this morning.

Needless to say, I kept my mouth closed.

You dont get to make determinations like that after you just admitted you dont know anything on the subject. Nothing you say matters because you dont know what you’re talking about. Unfortunately you represent most Americans so no worries.

+1

Forming an opinion on something without first educating yourself on the subject seems to be ok with most people. I just don’t get it.

My $0.02. Take it or leave it, doesn’t matter to me.

You people are hilarious. Universal health care is ‘stripping your personal freedoms’? Really?

Consider yourself LUCKY to be living in the US of A. Even with all of its problems and issues. You could have it MUCH worse. As I’ve said before, try living in the old soviet union, etc. Stop complaining.

While I agree Obama has done NOTHING good in office, I agree with Shady on the fact that Universal Healthcare is a GOOD thing in theory as it will allow people who can’t get it (care) for whatever reason to get it. Stop looking out for yourself only (and your pocket, etc.) and try to see the bigger picture. Will people abuse it for stupid stuff like the picture above suggests? Yes. Will many more people use the system for it’s intended uses? Absolutely. And THAT is what matters.

How on EARTH is this going to affect you on a REAL, PERSONAL, level? Exactly. It won’t. OMG, more taxes. NOOOOOOOOO. My cousins in Ukraine live on the equivalent of $200/month and they have mad inflation issues. They barely make ends meet. If they can make it through life that way, I’m sure we can as well on our $40k+ salaries.

National debt. Seriously? It’s been increasing since this country went negative eons ago. It’ll never get better and who gives a crap.

As Americans, you still have MANY luxuries and amenities that people in the world can only DREAM about.

Stop crying. Until the government starts forcing surveillance in your home, how you can act, where you work, what you drive, and how much you can eat…consider yourself lucky. Your freedoms are completely intact.

Its a scam. The government is ‘providing’ for the people at the expense of the people.

You’re an idiot.

*Disclaimer because Ilya’s an idiot: You’re not an idiot because I disagree with you, it’s because you’re just an idiot.

You are a FUCKING retard. Yes, a personal insult, your faggot ass can eat my shit if you don’t like it.

It is because of people that think like you, if thinking is what you want to call it, that will ruin this country.

You think it is pointless to act until our freedoms are 100% gone. You will just sit by and watch as one by one they are slowing being stripped away until we have nothing. Unlike “other” countries we have had freedoms since the beggining. Real freedoms, which is why America is great and why we will defend each and every one of them.

And since you obv. know nothing about this bill, YES it does tell YOU and ME what to do. It is going to FORCE us to buy their insurance and if you dont…Jail and/or HUGE fines.

You belong in state controlled country over-run with rats and retards because people who think like you are dangerous to our society.

Yes. Gov is providing for 15% of the uninsured plus x of the improperly insured at the expense of 85% of the public that are already insured.

Like I said, will people abuse it? Sure. Will many people get the care they need and couldn’t get before due to the business that is medicine? Yes. That’s what matters and should matter.

My mom just had a defibilator and pace maker put in. You know how much they wanted for the procedures? MORE THAN SHE MAKES IN A YEAR!

WTF IS THAT SHIT. They probably cost like $1,000 to make.

:rofl

That’s all I have to say.

Why don’t you run for office? I’m sure you could fix this ‘broken’ country. :rofl

I have an opinion. Just like you. If you don’t like it…well… too bad.

Fair enough.
