A sad day...

Should of brought her to Canada. Oh wait. She would be DEAD before she could have the operation at no cost to you.

There is a reason Health Care costs $$ in this country. Because it is fucking GOOD.

Edit: WAS good.

The only thing that is broken in this country is that we let retards like you in.

I just am not looking forward to the day I go to the doctor and have to wait in line behind a bunch of smelly, disgusting, good for nothing scumbags who now have “health insurance” because they were too lazy to educate/train themselves and acquire a good job that ALREADY HAS HEALTHCARE BENEFITS and/or be able to AFFORD HEALTHCARE ON THEIR OWN.

Personal health should be something that is in everyone’s self interest, and should be something that you should WANT to pay for. I know I like paying money knowing that I am healthy and protected god forbid something should go wrong, like my car accident I had back in December, por ejemplo.

Now instead of walking into the doctor’s office for your appointment, you will get to wait even longer behind the ha-bibs who are going to abuse this system and go to the doctor for useless things in order to get out of work, school, etc. Meanwhile you’ll be sitting there with the flu and a 102 degree fever feeling like bulllll SHIT!

Think of the classes of people that don’t currently have healthcare. These aren’t middle-class, hard-working citizens that are going to benefit from this bill. There are lots of people in this country that have busted their asses for YEARS in order to be able to afford the comfort and standard of living that they have today.

This sucks, sooner or later we better crack some skulls around here and get these people out of office.

I think alot of people that are all for this are missing HUGE things as to what this will do to normal people and small business, the govt allready controls too much of what we need to do just to run a small business.

wtf happened to capitalism and the constitution?

We could always become Indians…

Really, if our healthcare system is so fucking good how come other country’s people are living longer than us?

We are the most expensive due to the fact that our country produces less GP/PCP on purpose. Medical schools have closed and this is to make the profession more lucrative and increase in salaries. Doctors want to go into specialties due to the fact they have the opportunity to try and make more money. This is why a lot of GP’s are coming from other countries, because there is a huge need for it.

The costs of Healthcare are absurd due to many factors; 15% of money going in is to pay for ADMINISTRATIVE fees. Other countries like France and Germany have evolved by using TECHNOLOGY that allows patients to hold all their records on a usb type card, which allows for these huge costs of paperwork to dissolve.

Other countries focus mainly on preventative care and form relationships with their doctors, and they don’t prescribe insane and costly treatments unless that is deemed necessary. This is a huge cost savings to the insurance companies, and the tax payers.

The US health care system has been plagued for so many years, and we buy into new bullshit technology when in fact, many of the older equipment does its job just fine. The US also fucks itself by allowing pharmaceutical companies to run and basically monopolizing itself causing prices to be astronomical unless you have insurance.

The whole system needs to revamped from the start. Again, if our healthcare system is so fucking good, why do other people live longer and pay LESS than us?

Thank you.

A more educated response than I could have provided, but basically what I agree with.

My mom is a prime example. Her heart procedures cost more than two years worth of salary and there is no way it should cost that much. NO WAY.

She does better on herbal medicines and teas than she does on pills that doctors prescribe. When she says no to them, they try to tell her she is uncooperative. It’s BS.

i dont believe living longer is because of their healthcare look at foods and lifestyles as to why they live longer…

You people are on crack if you think the government is going to run health-care efficiently. Look at the DMV and other government operations. And health-care was never a right and shouldn’t be.

How about the Postal Service requesting to close on Saturdays because they too are going broke.

Imagine that. A government agency losing money.

zero knowledge on subject from me = zero opinion from me

does sound like a shitshow, though

SSI was never a right, Child Labor laws were never a right, Min. wage was never a right.

A gov’t can run this system efficiently - other countries have done so. The best possible system in the world is probably Germany when it comes to regulation; they use a Bismarck Model.

Unfortunately, our gov’t politicians are so overwhelmed with greed, and special interests groups/ lobbyists have fucked this country. We do unesscary spending in health care on purpose and that’s what drove the costs up substantially.

Btw - America is now going to change for the worse due to the Supreme Court ruling stating that Corporations are People, and now they can spend as much money as they want on Individual politicians.

politics on shift… a bad idea

but i have to say, this fucking sucks

I don’t like it.

Well if you are under 26 you should like some aspects of it.

You can stay on your parent’s insurance
You can not be denied for pre-existing conditions.

However, this bill fails to have any type of cost reform, which is the killer in the equation.

This may shock you but I agree with you.

Healthcare for all is an advancement in society. The issue is that the government runs it and ours will ruin it. Also this bill is flawed and far too expensive. And the way the Democrats went about getting it passed was shameful.

Soooo should I go ahead and cancel my health insurance and save myself some $140 a month? :rofl

I have a serious question here.

What does this mean for me? I have a well paying job that odes not offer me health insurance and I do not currently have health insurance because frankly I never go to the doctor or hospital. If i am sick i do what people used to do and get some rest and drink soup and such. I also have been quoted insane amount for health insurance because of my families medical history and the fact i already have a bad back and bad knees that doctors want to prescribe me pain killers that are addictive for.

Does this mean I am getting health insurance? Am i going to be forced to pay for it in some way that is going to affect my life style directly or force me to get another job.

I’ll be honest and say I really do not follow politics at all, I’m ver niave when it comes to this sort of thing
