i think ill sell mine and buy an echo
We’ll you’re not really selling it, as it’s costing you an arm and a leg this is more like… uhm voluntery assumption of rape. you know its comming, just not how big or how hard. (monetarily speaking)

I’m typing up a Word document of all the shit that I’ve done so that they
don’t replicate and then charge me.
Also gonna make it super clear NOT to replace anything unless I say so
and they have proof.
Hopefully it doesn’t turn into like the time my bro went in for a wheel
bearing change and came back with a $1600 bill for water pump, belt,
etc. etc. etc. :squint:
Which shop?
And a mechanic can’t fix things on your car without your permission.
So your bro can tell that guy to stick his $1600 bill.
Watch they find the issue right away for like $30…lol.
Oh God I hope this is true. :fingersx:
As for the shop…I’m taking it Green and Ross ( :hsugh: ).
They’ve done work on our cars in the past. Good folks as long as you
tell them what to do.
You’re hopeless.
i hate the assumption all mechanics are crooks
your taking it to them to fix your problem, you complain on the price, they try to help you by making your car run and perform properly, so you dont have any inconveniences along the way and so your car runs as close to new as they can.
they do all this.
and people act like they are robbing you everytime they fix your car and they are probably fixing the mistake YOU made or could have prevented.
there are honest and nice mechanics, next time dont think you got robbed when you read the bill.
I think most mechanics like to bring up ‘problems’ on the car in a way
that the customer gets scared. Thats how I see it.
You go in for tire rotation and they just happen to notice your water pump
is gonig bad.
That’s why you make sure you have an SR before you bring it to any shop.
That way they have no idea what to do or where to start because obviously the info they have is for a KA. And you have an excuse everytime.
“Your water pump is gonna die out soon.”
“Yeah. Find me one that fits then.”
I am with Jesse on this one… MOST of the time. I mean, this is what these people do for a living, right? They know what they are doing. Like you think they are feeding you a line of shit cause you brought the car in to get the oil changed and you end up with them telling you that some other work needs to be done. If this is a reputable shop, I would listen to them. If we had mandatory yearly safety inspections in this province, think of all the work we would have to be paying for.
Find a good shop, listen to them and stick with them. Build a relationship, kinda like a baby sitter.

For some reason I still get this feeling about mechanics. Like every one
of them is out to con people. But that’s just me. :dunno:
If they find the exact cause of the problem in my car, then they have my
respect.
The only thing I haven’t tried is replacing the injectors, which I now suspect.
Well then, you made the right choice by going to Active green and Ross.

That’s because I don’t personally know any mechanics? :dunno:
Proof that Green+Ross are con-artists?
It will take awhile before you can find a good one. OR you could find one right away. It’s like anything. You can usually tell right away if a person is good and trust worthy.
Stick to one thread at a time.
